by Kevin Hooyman
Kevin's drawings cover every available inch of the page in densely beautiful line work that often tells stories of animals waxing philosophical with each other and their human friends, deep in the forest where they seek refuge amongst the magic of nature to ponder the existential dilemmas of modern society. Broken into chapters, each delving into the various subjects of how to be a well adjusted person in this crazy world, with humor and hopefulness. In "Social Grace," for instance, we learn how to make different facial expressions, do sweet dance moves, converse confidently with others, and how to like yourself. There is alot of truth in these comics that can birng to mind the existential pondering of Anders Nilsen albeit completely unique to Hooyman.
