Christopher Day is a part of a strong movement in young Austraulian photography that brings a very new perspective to local circumstances, events and situations. This is Day's first book which was edited from thousands of images, both colour and black and white. His aesthetic is a stunning yet subtle and understated commentary on some of the peripheral aspects of life in this country. These are not the obvious characterists of Australiana; these are the in-between moments.
