A Spectacular Fort
A few days I went camping with our pal, Luke Fishbeck, popularly known as Lucky Dragons. We arrived in Ventura county close to midnight, and all the campsites were closed and RV parks full, and it was a general bummer. Then we remembered the legend of Kyle Field's luxurious fort, made of driftwood and seaweed. Luke knew it was somewhere along the stretch of beach around the Malibu/Ventura border, at the 40 000 mark. We had to park a mile away and walk along the PCH with flashlights and venture into a sprawling scrub. Walking into many shrubs, we gave up on finding it at night, settling on a hidden stretch of sand, to drink beer, and melt seaweed in a fire. The next morning however, we found the fort in all its glory.
Kyle has done an amazing job. He has promised to build another one in our window, and live in it for a week.
Kyle's new Little Wings album is out now on his own Rad Records. We should have it in stock any day now. Our Kyle Field Family t shirt should be ready very soon as well, our first pocket t. If you haven't seen Kyle's artwork, here's a bunch of drawings.
