RIP Cliff Burton

I have been listening to kill em all in my car a lot lately, since i borrowed the entire early discography of metallica at the beverly hills library, returning me to the onset of puberty and my guitar teacher steve, who didnt wear an acdc tshirt - he wore acdc shorts. these songs are fast! hetfield apes motorhead's lemmy kilmister's vocals with authority. the album's highlight is cliff burton's two minute bass solo, that even with it's stereotypically 80s tapping technique is so ahead of it's time, it sounds like a mature lightning bolt. it is also the most melodic and beautiful moment on the record (though hammets ascending solos on songs like whiplash are transcendent experiences). poor burton was killed when the tour bus flipped over, tossing him out the window, crushing him to death. his legacy remains!

My name is Alex and I haven't truly been listening to Metallica for many years, but I do know that Metallica's sound has never been the same since Cliff Burton died. From my opinion, he gave the Metallica the sound and reputaion that it still instills into it's listeners
Hammett had no part in Kill 'Em All Album, it was Dave Mustaine. Anyway, i see what Anoynymous means about Metallicas sound. Cliff was amazing, Pulling Teeth is my favourit Metallica song because of Cliffs solo. Its tragic that he died. Metallica would be amazing if he was still alive.
R.I.P Cliff Burton
Cannot the Kingdom of Salvation take him home.
First of all: Cliff Burton, you will always be my role model R.I.P.
Second of all: The new Metallica sucks even though there my most favorite band ever, Rob ruined everything, he shouldn't even be in the band and I prefer Jason over him but, if Cliff was still alive, Metallica would've probably been the most successful band ever in the history of bands but, too bad they aren't
